Marie Curie

Marie Curie was a physicist and chemist who overcame barriers as a woman pursuing a career in science. She conducted research in radioactivity, discovering two new elements and pioneering the use of radiation in medicine. She became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and the first person to win two Nobel Prizes in different fields.
