Eliud Kipchoge, then-34, made history running a sub-2h marathon in 2019. Born in the high-altitude Kenyan Rift Valley, Kipchoge’s biology is well adapted to long distance running. But he also has a grueling training schedule of 13 sessions and 220km per week. It took 34y of cumulative work to prove that the only limits humans face are self-imposed.
