Grace Hopper

Grace Hopper was a strange child who dissembled clocks as a 7 yo. She earned a PHD in math from Yale before attempting to enlist in the Navy at the onset of WW2. She was rejected due to her age, 34, and joined the Reserves instead. Hopper became a pioneer in early computing on the Harvard Mark I supercomputer and reached the rank of Rear Admiral
